Green Bay Packers Video of the Day

The Green Bay Packers are an American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. They are members of the North Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL) and are the third-oldest franchise in the NFL. The Packers are the last vestige of “small town teams” that were once common in the NFL during the 1920s and 1930s. Founded in 1919 by Earl “Curly” Lambeau (hence the name Lambeau Field on which the team plays) and George Whitney Calhoun, the Green Bay Packers can trace their lineage to other semi-professional teams in Green Bay dating back to 1896. In 1919 and 1920 the Packers competed as a semi-professional football team against clubs from around Wisconsin and the Midwest. They joined the American Professional Football Association (APFA) in 1921, the forerunner to what is known today as the National Football League (NFL). The Packers are the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team in the United States. The Green Bay Packers have won twelve league championships (more than any other team in the NFL) including nine NFL Championships prior to the Super Bowl era and three Super Bowl victories in 1967 (Super Bowl I), 1968 (Super Bowl II) and 1996 (Super Bowl XXXI). The team has a historic rivalry with the Chicago Bears, whom they have played in over 170 games. The Packers also share a fierce blood rivalry with the Minnesota Vikings, who also reside in the NFC North along with the Packers, and the

Let me say for the record that I am a Bears fan…(DA BEARS!!!!)
I caught the first pre season game just to see why it was so important for the Packers to release Favre and start Rogers. Well from what I saw he didn’t look to bad. He appears to have a good sense for the game, looks pretty confident in the pocket and scrambles better then i thought. I would have to say that the Packers will play .500 ball this year. who know what will happen next year with 1 complete season of experience under his belt.

  20. ? says:

They’ll be Playoff Bound Finish 2nd Place NFC North with a 10-6 Record, Vikings will be 1st Place with a 12-4 Record, Rodgers may not be the Best QB but He has a Core of Receivers and Backs that will listen to him and McCarthy.

Everything Will be Just Fine Packer Fans.

  21. ? says:

The Packers have a tough schedule and with the loss of favre it doesn’t take a lot of pressure off the offense. we have a really tough defense and a great offense around Rodgers. A healthy team is a must in today’s leagues and its the only way good teams can win. If the Packers can stay completely healthy in our troubling spots, ((any QB behind Rodgers has a tough shot to win, cornerbacks behind Woodson or Harris are going to have a tough time, and running back’s behind Grant aren’t above par.)) So as long as those 4 guys can remain healthy we have a good chance of going at least 10 – 6 and winning the division. Possible 11 – 5 pending weather at home.

  22. Jim Kelly > Dan Marino ♣ says:

    8-8, no playoffs

  23. Magneto says:

The Packers will probably be 11-5,the only player the Packers lost during the season was Brett Favre, and quite frankly,he was overrated, the Packers improved as a team, and Brett was the beneficiary of it,just look at what he did the year before last year

  24. Football Kid (G.O.A.T) says:

    9-7

  25. smokinantz says:

    9-7
