Question by Ryan: when the utah jazz make it to the western conference finals will they sweep NO or win in 5?
So the jazz have the lakers wrapped up and obviously New Orleans can’t hang with utah. So how quickly will they eliminate them the hornets?

Answers:

Answer by No Pain / No Gain /, Sok C.
Sorry the Jazz won’t make it out of the West because the Lakers will eliminate them soon.

Jazz Blow

Go Lakers……my boy Kobe about to drop booms and dimes on yall he is hella wet

Answer by No More
If the Jazz can’t shock the Lakers I doubt they could beat the Hornets. Chris Paul vs Deron Williams would be fun to watch but the home court rules in this years playoffs and that would be too much for the Jazz to overcome.

Question by big daddy k: Why do the Utah Jazz get the unfair advantage/team physical rejuvinating day of NOT playing Sunday home games?
Is it unfair and questionable that the Utah Jazz gets a unfair advantage of NOT playing Sunday home games in their regular season and therefore enjoys creature comforts as being a better rested/well team in NBA play; and if the Jazz’s aguement is that they cannot econmically satisfy NBA sales on Sunday might it be argueable that the Utah Jazz is getting preferential treatment and perhaps needs to be relocated to an economically suitable location in regards to NBA standards of all NBA teams?

Answer by baudkarma
I don’t think it’s an advantage for the Jazz, certainly not a big one. They still have to play 41 games on the road and 41 games at home. Not playing at home on Sundays probably means more travel for the Jazz, and more back-to-backs. I’ve never heard any NBA player or coach complain about the Jazz schedule being unfair.

Answer by Ender
The NBA is a business. Each franchise is individually owned. It’s a companies responsibility to support it’s franchises. For the NBA to ignore the Utah demographic and one of it’s franchise owners would be very irresponsible of them.

You’re ignoring the obvious fact that they’ll also end up with more back to back games as a result of this.

The Utah Jazz have been there for about 30+ years now. Obviously the demand exists, however, with about half of the state being LDS, it doesn’t make sense for them to have home games on Sunday.

In an average Season there are about 80 games. 40 of those are home. All teams play 40 home games within the same amount of time. I’m sure there have been years where a team hasn’t played a home game on a Tuesday. Does that give them some unfair advantage? You’re calling it an advantage. I could just as easily call it a disadvantage. Until someone has taken the time to study it for longer than 5 seconds, we won’t know which of us, if either, is correct.

…..and I’m sure the Jazz are for sale at the right price. Maybe you should make an offer!

I’m an avid Jazz fan, but we gotta look at things realistically here. First off we’re in a tied series with the most talented team in the West and although we looked good in games 3 and 4, we haven’t proven we can win in LA. Kobe may be hurt but he’s an allstar so don’t count him out.
Plus the Spurs aren’t done yet, if there is any team still left in the playoffs that can come back, it would be them.
Game 5 is the key for us, Jazz win, Jazz in six, Lakers win, Lakers in 7.

  2. Nova says:

I’m not even convinced New Orleans will make it past San Antonio

  3. Stickers/Hellraiser says:

    Jazz will win
    Hornets will win
    Pistons won
    Cavs will win

    then

    hornets will win
    cavs will win

    then

    game 7 cavs win

  4. VP says:

    I say Hornets in 6.

CP3 will *hopefully* learn how to cope against D-Will. It is a 7 game series so they get to learn a lot about how the other plays.

  5. metallicagdogg says:

the series is tied 2-2 so Jazz aren’t through…If the Lakers win the series I wanna see you back here on Yahoo Answers to hear your “excuses” on why the Jazz lost the series.

  6. migmar006 says:

jazz aren’t gonna beat the lakers lets be real, and the hornets would take them out anyway, man it seems like you’re gettin ahead of yourself there…….

  7. freedoma586 says:

Once the Jazz beat the Lakers then they will go on and beat the New Orleans Hornets in like 6 games or less. By the way did i forget to mention GO JAZZ.

  8. Bryan says:

Ryan…of course the Jazz will sweep the Hornets. I’m just looking forward to seeing Deron Williams dunk on Chris Paul’s fat head.

  9. freedoma586 says:

They have played home games here on Sunday before. The Jazz however hardly play games on Sunday i have heard that the NBA is trying to avoid scheduling games on Sunday.

  10. Ruth says:

The Jazz don’t play on sundays at home because their owner is/was a Christian who wanted to avoid doing business on sunday and a large portion of their fanbase won’t attend games on Sunday.

All NBA teams have the same amount of day off throughout the season. Most teams play about 4 games a week, which leaves about 3 off days per week. The Jazz have more of their days off on sunday than most teams, but there isn’t any reason to think having sunday off instead of monday is an “Unfair Advantage”.

This question/argument is far from logical.
